Never try to fool the search engines, if caught, you can be thrown into the sandbox forever, never stepping back into the animal carrier that got you there in the first place. The link below exemplifies the tactic that has taken it’s toll on great businesses in the Internets 40+ year history. Also strongly warned against, this has been seen using same color characters in the same color background, camouflaging content. Yes, you guessed it, this tactic is Keyword Stuffing. Now I don’t know about you, but have to wonder who is at the helm, steering the ship with Yahoo. Does anyone know or has heard Yahoo’s analytic formula, mostly hearing the double shot of espresso Caffeine drink being the most popular beverage. Logging in on Yahoo Search, I thought I was sitting down for Thanksgiving Dinner, with a Stuffed Turkey staring back at me.

$300.00 Cup of Joe?

I also have to wonder of relative informative content within a site, and how Yahoo’s grading system works, if any. Besides having a domain name, and hosting, what else is required getting 1st. page ranking? Or is it, if you pay the yearly $300.00 search engine listing fee, you will shown on the first page, no matter what? I have to think the latter of the two, and have another sip of my Maxwell blend. Comparing page ranking to heavy cream, for which page ranking status is being diluted to Black Hats.

Now, I have not paid my hard earned 3 dead presidents, not boasting, but being listed above the Keyword Stuffer. I have given careful consideration paying this listing fee, over last several months. Some say good, others say “To play with the big boys, need to pay this” I could not make heads or tails until now. Keyword Stuffer not even trying to hide it, having it in the meta content.

<*title>painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;</title*>

<*meta name="description" content="painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;"*>

<*meta name="keywords" content="painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;painting exterior painting;"*>

A Cat Turd in Google’s Sandbox;

As long as you don’t try hiding it, and you pay the governor , it’s ok? not. I started to say “I don’t know who to be mad at”, but correcting myself as I type. General internet rules are governed by the search engines, especially the Big 3, with their grading formulas, keeping everyone in line. If one of the big 3 has no formula, it takes down making it hard for the other two. The search engine allowing 1st. page ranking for a piece of crap web site, filled with same text should be examined more closely. I know one darn thing; If I had paid my Page Fee, I would really have a reason to be upset, thinking it was truly wasted. As it stands, $300 saved, is $300 earned. Yes, I feel better getting to the first page honestly on Yahoo, and without paying for a Counterfeit Listing. I’m not sure if site shown at the bottom of Yahoo’s 1st. page for Painting Exterior is listed at Google, but would think it would be buried as a Cat turd in Google’s Sandbox.

All my SEO Efforts feel Diluted

Having nothing against this site and owner personally, actually across continents, and no actual competitor. I’m sure the person is a great individual, and provides a valuable service to the community. I do know however that I, not having much computer experience to speak of, am a web site owner 4 times having Eco Paint, Painting Interior, Painting Exterior, and Painting Denver. Spending countless hours buying keyword domains, building relevant content, trying to write useful information for the betterment of our local area and industry. And yes always striving for page ranking, (who isn’t?) it really ticks me off seeing a card shark’s dealer allowing this to happen.

Even though Yahoo and Bing having merged, both have drastically different approaches how sites are ranked and listed. Thinking Bing and Google are very similar how web sites are ranked, and not the other way around as to Bing and Yahoo being similar ranking web sites. Many are also led to believe page ranking is irrelevant these days, built more on Trust. Uncovering these results, I think is why Google has more Trust in the Internet Community, having 85% of Internet Search.

So, Would like to leave you with a few questions;

Am I out of line? Or mistake about something? Please tell me.

Do you feel this merge affects your your listing, whether your in the house painting sector or not?

Have you ever paid the yearly search engine ranking of $300.00? If so, do you think it’s worth it?

Wacked out of my ever loving gourde, or spot on? Please respond, as I have big shoulders.
